Volunteer Details for Pizza Making:

• Shift Duration: 2.5 hours

• Location: AZ

• 2120 S 3rd Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85003

• Age Guidelines: 10 to 13 with 1:1 adult supervision; 14 up on own

Upon arrival use the iPad to sign in.

Attire and belongings:

Closed-toe shoes with rubber soles, sleeved shirts, pants/skirts/shorts that are knee-length or longer.We will provide gloves, plastic apron & hair net. Water bottles brought in must be able to be closed. Please refrain from cell phone/ headphone use while volunteering. We have limited storage space and recommend bringing as few items as possible.

Why Your Service Matters:

Food preparation is housed at SvDP main kitchen on Watkins Campus. They produce over 4,000 meals a day, 365 days a year, distributed to 5 dining rooms and 20 social service agency partners who don’t have their own kitchens. For those experiencing homelessness, they usually have nowhere else to go for nutrition. For those financially struggling in their homes, meals allow families to put their limited resources into rent, utilities, and other expenses. Your service is helping to save lives and prevent homelessness.

Volunteer duties:

Duties may include but are not limited to rolling dough, topping the pizza, slicing and boxing the pizza, and cleaning.

Scheduling Changes:

We count on our volunteers to accomplish our mission; you are 95% of our workforce! We don’t want to overbook volunteers, as we want each of you to have a meaningful experience and to know you are having an impact. If you have to cancel or would like to add additional people to your group, please give us ample notice. Thank you for helping to keep yourself and those around you safe and healthy!
